clip2net Alternative: Screenshot and Link in a Second

clip2net got the format right: a screenshot, an upload to the cloud and a link ready to send. Shot2Net does the same — and keeps moving forward: it updates itself, works on Windows 10 and 11, records video and keeps the full history of your screenshots.

Everything you're used to

  • Capture a region, a window or the full screen — PrintScreen, Alt + PrintScreen, Ctrl + PrintScreen. Set your own shortcuts in the settings.
  • Upload with the link on your clipboard. In Settings → Capture, choose "Upload and copy the link" — the moment you select a region, the link is ready to paste into a chat or an email.
  • Direct link to the file — on the Lite and Pro plans, for forums, documentation and embedding.
  • History. Every screenshot and recording made on this computer in one place: open it, upload it, copy the link again, delete it.
  • Plans like clip2net's: free without an account, a free account with longer storage, Lite and Pro with no time limit and with direct links.

What's new

  • An editor for how-tos. Arrows, lines, boxes, ellipses, highlighter, pencil, numbered steps, text, blur and pixelate, crop. Anything you draw can be moved and fixed.
  • Video recording. On the Pro plan: Shift + PrintScreen, select a region and you're recording to MP4; the link opens the video in any browser.
  • Links nobody can guess. 16 random characters in the address, private storage, viewing pages hidden from search engines.
  • Delete any time — from the app or your account page, together with the file in the cloud.
  • Automatic updates. New versions arrive on their own; nothing to download by hand.
  • No clutter on your PC. You can set it to delete the local copy after upload.

How to switch

  1. Download Shot2Net — the installer is about 4 MB.
  2. If clip2net is still installed and running, close it: only one app can hold PrintScreen. Or give Shot2Net its own shortcuts.
  3. In Settings → Capture, choose "Upload and copy the link". Done.
